abstract = "Environmental management is intimately connected to geospatial
analysis on account of the growing need to plan short and long
term actions that depend on a number of cartographic information.
However, the amount of information oftentimes hinders rapid
decision-making, which is absolutely necessary to control certain
environmental incidents such as forest fires. This study aimed to
calculate forest fire risk within a certain area of the city of
S{\~a}o Paulo with the aid of a flow chart developed in ArcGIS
10.2 Model Builder. The results obtained show high accuracy and
precision, indicating the potential of the new tool developed in
this work. Therefore, it is important to reiterate here the
necessity of making use of theories and methods in geo-processing
with regard to environment management.",
